Miles Hunt & Erica Nockalls

Most of the 2007 UK tour dates are now in and like I’ve said already details are on the pages. I know I’ve mentioned it before so apologies for the repeats. I’m seriously chuffed to announce that Miles Hunt and cellist Erica Nockalls will be doing five of the shows with us. I’m a great admirer of Miles, loved the Wonderstuff, own most of the records and saw them live on a couple occasions. I’ve not seen the new line up nor the new Miles show with Erika on cello, although it does sound a right grand combination…dark drones, you can’t beat a good cello drone. I’m also looking forward to the whole playing live in a band thing again as we don’t have any band shows scheduled until the Nine Standards Festival in September. We’re doing the tour as a four piece with Bonehead stepping in on bass following his european debut which was great. Until then it’s recording and the occasional solo show, incidentally a second show in Norwich at The Art School has just been confirmed on 3rd July although I’m still waiting on the precise details. I’m also involved in recording the debut Fischers album [Sept possibly] and a new project I’ve been working on with Rob that involves guitars that sound nothing like guitars; it doesn’t have a name or a direction to speak yet of but should it ever get one I’ll be sure to let you know. The new album is finished…a nice feeling. Plans to shoot videos for each of the songs exist...which reminds me I must ring Stevie O, VPx
