I am a recovered man….kind of, with the day to myself and the night likewise. There’s not a lot pressing here, all I have to do is to avoid the sun, the stupid sun that shines on everyone. I have never been a hot weather person, not in slightest. In fact I could rant on about the ludicrousity of the soaraway one but I guess that would be kind of dull and predictable. I was driving in Rochdale today and passed several Asian occupied cars sporting England flags, a good thing, and I told the taxi driver likewise who was very sweet and decent. My take on the flag has mellowed over the years from loathing the George Cross to kind of liking it…despite what my socialist mate’s bang on about…symbol of the crusades, badge of the colonialists etc. The bonding of culture and country regardless of your creedance is a good thing I think. So the flag is fine by me. OK so the odd right winger might want to seize the conflictual moment and don the red cross but in the main it seems a positive time to be patriotic. Sunblock on the other hand is not worn often enough…that Peter Crouch has a very red neck no wonder he was thirsty. Still you have to chuckle at and applaud the success of the gangly one…at Villa Park he was so rubbish…although of course he wasn’t the only one. Like I said…I’m relaxing after the recording. VPx
