Stuckism and Truth
Last weeks studio adventure was not in the handbook. And neither was the tape-speed manual, so all in all a frustrating time was had by all. We've had to reschedule the session. The old soundcraft ex BBC 2inch machine just couldn't keep on track, must have been the heat or something. It should be fixed in a week or so. I am a tad disappointed but hey these things are sent to test us. Now it's back to rehearsals for the Edinburgh gig which is a week on Tuesday, we just need to sort out the accommodation which is of course all pre booked light years in advance [ there's a festival on, apparently...doh ] so we might end up groveling on the night for spare sofas and suchlike. If you have such a thing and live close by let us know do. Today I've been slobbing around with a bad head, the dear old wine and beer combo have never made sense still every now and again temptation gets the better of me, but oh how I have suffered today. I did manage to watch a Russian movie set in an asylum called House of Fools which is decent enough; though only just. The rest of the household were out in the garden enjoying the sunshine, something I've never quite managed. Mid week I was out and about with cafe society lunchtime lounge loafer Peter Doyle the inventor of Guess their Name, which is an absurd but strangely addictive way to spend a lunch hour. We [Mike,Ben and I] also had a nice meeting with Tom Hingley of The Lovers/Inspirals fame last week concerning gigs and gags and Warrington slags, all very positive and enjoyable. Until the next time then, over and out, VPx
